Georgios Kontopoulos

Georgios Kontopoulos is a Chartered Engineer (CEng MICE) and Digital Construction Leader at PwC Greece, with a focus on the strategic development of capital projects and the digital transformation of the construction sector. After building his engineering career in the UK, where he applied BIM across both design and construction phases, Georgios has spent the past eight years advising public and private sector clients on BIM implementation and integration. Among other roles, he has collaborated with the European Commission on the development of the European framework for assessing BIM maturity across all Member States and he has supported the Hellenic Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport in drafting Greece’s National BIM Strategy. He is currently working with the European Commission and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport on the implementation of the national BIM roadmap, which includes the deployment of pilot projects and the establishment of a national governance structure to oversee BIM adoption across public works.
