Birgitta Schock

Birgitta Schock, MSc Arch ETH SIA, is co-founder and partner of schockguyan architekten gmbh in Zurich, with over 30 years of experience in architecture and construction. She specializes in process optimization through Design Thinking, Lean Construction Management, and BIM, focusing on project development and consulting for public and private clients across new builds and renovations. A widely respected speaker and lecturer, she serves as Vice President of the SIA (Swiss Society of Engineers and Architects), having previously led its Digital Transformation committee, and is Chapter Chair of buildingSMART Switzerland as well as a Fellow of buildingSMART International. She directed ETH Zurich's CAS ARC Digital program, establishing it as Switzerland's leading digital-construction training program. Her current focus is strategic foresight, the future of professional roles, and the impact of AI on planning, construction, and real estate. She holds a degree in Architecture from ETH Zurich, complemented by further training from Stanford University, IDEO U, and the International Scrum Institute.
